We believe…

…in making the world better by spreading inspiration and innovation. We give startups a platform to pitch their ideas to an interested audience. As well as giving the chance to the local community to indulge in the fascinating world of new ideas and innovation.

All of us believe that there is more to life than just working from 9 to 5. We all believe in a world where you can have the freedom to pursue your passions and become the best you can be. And we work for it. Everyone in her or his own way, and we believe in sharing that fruits of that labor sometimes by creating things like the StartupFundingEvent.

The idea for StartupFundingEvent was created by the Innovation Department of Lightning Video Editors. Together in a partnership with Whynot3 we created a concept that can give something back to the local startup community. We created an award that can stimulate innovation and motivate the next life-changing product founder to focus on their product instead of worry about marketing budgets.

Because the mission was to create an event that could benefit and stimulate local startups, this meant that every selected participant needed to receive something that could also skyrocket their branding and give them investor-worthy marketing materials. That’s why every single selected startup will also receive the opportunity to have their pitch recorded in a professional setting.

Our Idea!

The idea behind the event is simple. Having been to quite some innovation events like TEDx, Smart City Expo or WebSummit, we had the idea of combining those concepts and create an event which offers both – exposure for innovative startups and inspiration for an interested audience, for zero visitor cost.

And with that idea in mind we came together and got to work. We talked with the local innovation community, who were completely convinced right away, and gave us additional ideas of how to make it even better.

And now, we not only have the pitches on stage in front of an audience and a selected jury, but also an innovation fair and networking drinks with a free open bar afterward where all attendees can close off the event with some great conversation over a glass or two.
